Dr. Charles Wei is a board-certified, surgically-trained prosthodontist: a dental specialist who provides comprehensive and top-notch oral health care to his patients. His trainings and experience give him the expertise to treat the most complex of dental conditions with crowns, bridges, veneers, and implants.
Dr. Wei received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Public Health degrees from Columbia University, where he graduated as an honors scholar. After completing the general practice residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, he trained at a highly selective prosthodontic specialty residency at West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and proudly served our country’s veterans. Dr. Wei further honed his dental implant surgery skills at Columbia University’s Implant Fellowship program under world-renowned Dr. Dennis Tarnow. Dr. Wei is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a committee chair member of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics.
Dr. Wei is also a dedicated dental educator; he served as the associate director of advanced education in general dentistry residency and an assistant professor at Columbia University. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania and teaches the next generation of prosthodontists. He is also a lecturer at Columbia University’s Implantology Continuum course, which is attended by doctors around the country.
Outside of private practice, Dr. Wei volunteers to provide essential dental care to the underserved in developing nations across the globe. He and his wife travel, whenever they can, to explore and experience different cultures. He also enjoys basketball, boxing, and scuba diving. Dr. Wei is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
